§ 100158.01. EMS Provider EMSC Requirements.
(a)
PECC Requirement. Each EMS provider responsible for 911 response within the jurisdiction of a LEMSA with an EMSC program shall designate a prehospital PECC, as defined in Section 100156.05 of this subchapter. This role may be assigned in combination with other duties and shall be filled by an EMS clinician.
(b)
PECC Duties. The prehospital PECC shall be responsible for, at a minimum:
(1)
Training and Competency. Ensuring that all EMS provider agency response personnel receive pediatric-specific training as to relevant LEMSA policies and protocols and maintain proficiency in pediatric assessment and treatment skills;
(2)
Equipment and Supplies. Ensuring all EMS provider agency response vehicles maintain pediatric equipment and supplies;
(3)
Quality Improvement. Overseeing EMS provider agency pediatric QI activities.
