Cardiac Care Committee.

(a)

The local EMS agency (LEMSA) developing and implementing a STEMI critical care system shall establish a cardiac care committee which meets, at a minimum, twice a year and includes participation from public and private EMS providers, 911-receiving general acute care hospitals (GACHs), STEMI referring hospitals and receiving centers within the local EMS system, any regional STEMI receiving centers that receive STEMI patient IFTs from the LEMSA, and other relevant stakeholders.

(b)

The STEMI or cardiac care committee will advise the LEMSA on STEMI and cardiac care policies and protocols and will participate in STEMI and cardiac care QI work.
