§ 100135.02. Application of Chapter. This chapter applies to the establishment, implementation, and evaluation of critical and specialty care systems that are components of California's emergency medical services system. These systems include, but are not limited to, trauma, STEMI, stroke, and EMSC programs. The provisions of this chapter apply to the Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA), local emergency medical services agencies (LEMSAs), and participating entities involved in the organization, operation, and evaluation of these systems of care, including designated specialty care centers, hospitals, EMS providers, and dispatch centers.
